In addition to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple released a third iPhone in 2017 - the iPhone X, which was released on November 3. Features of the iPhone X include a full glass front, OLED display, powerful facial recognition system and a new dual camera with True Tone and optical image stabilization. In short, this is an epic iPhone - celebrating a decade of the iPhone, but also presenting a bunch of state-of-the-art specifications to match the efforts of Apple's rivals.

More than ten years ago, Apple introduced the first iPhone and changed the world. In this post, we'll take a closer look at one of Apple's most popular phones, the iPhone X. With its rounded edges and end-to-end display, we're sure it's the iPhone Steve imagined all these years ago. - but now that his dream has come true, will he be as influential as the first? Time will tell, but for now we will do our part to help you make a decision. The release of Apple's iPhone X marks the next generation of iPhone, which ushers Apple into a new era of technology mobile devices. This is the first of its kind - a frameless screen and a simple stainless steel smartphone with a huge slot (“notch”) at the top. The lack of a “Home button” is also key in this model, it is Apple's first smartphone with facial recognition.

Specifications

  • Design

This is the first of its kind - a frameless screen and a stainless steel smartphone with a huge slot at the top. The Apple iPhone X comes with a 5.8-inch frameless display with rounded corners that look bulky but smaller than previous Plus models. The iPhone X's display has rounded corners that follow a beautiful curved design, and those corners are within a standard rectangle. Its glass rear body is not only for aesthetic reasons, but also allows wireless charging. In addition, the phone has a compact size of 14.36 x 7.09 x 0.7 centimeters, which makes the stainless steel body of the device easy to hold in one hand.

  • Display

The iPhone X's 5.8-inch display is phenomenal, with 448 pixels per inch and a resolution of 2436 x 1125. It supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision and features Apple's True Tone technology. And yes, this time the display is OLED.

  • Processor

Apple A11 Bionic: The fastest six-core mobile processor around.

With each major release of the new iPhone comes a name change and a quick, brilliant look at Apple's latest processor. We even have a new name for the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. There is no A10 Fusion and say hello to the A11 Bionic. Why is Bionic? Mostly marketing jargon, but this chip helps speed up image recognition, including biometric data. Apple says it's “the most powerful and intelligent chip in a smartphone”.

Whats new? First, it's a six-core processor. Exciting, you think, and it really is, but just remember that having more cores on your phone isn't the same as having more cores on your laptop.

There are two “productive” cores and four “high-performance cores” for a total of six. Without going into too much depth, this is known as “heterogeneous computing”, which effectively allows devices to run on processors that have cores with different specifications. This is unlike a processor in your computer, where all processor cores are at exactly the same speed.

Compared to last year's A10 Fusion, Apple claims 25% better performance than these critical performance cores, while the four high-performance cores together will be 70% faster for background tasks. More excitingly, the controller, which decides which cores to receive which tasks, now allows all six cores to run on the same task, allowing 70% faster multithreaded workloads.

In terms of graphics performance, the GPU is said to be 30% faster than last year, while consuming half the energy when running at the same speed as the A10. This is impressive and will help with battery life when it comes to gaming.

The A11 Bionic includes a faster image signal processor for better camera performance, better pixel processing and better noise reduction in photos.

  • Internal memory and RAM

The model is available with two modifications of the internal memory. Both modifications have 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

1. 64GB

2. 256GB

  • Rear Camera

One of the biggest selling points of the iPhone is its camera, which Apple enhances its capabilities one more level and integrates into the Apple iPhone X. The flagship has 12-megapixel rear cameras that come with optical image stabilization, which helps to better photos. One camera is wide angle and the other is telephoto.

Why does the iPhone X have two cameras?

While single-lens phones can still zoom in and out, they can only do so with digital zoom. So instead of really zooming in, your photos just zoom in to look like you've zoomed in. But thanks to the iPhone X's dual camera system, you have two focal points, which means you can get a really magnified picture that's cleaner.

With that in mind, you don't have just these two focal points on the iPhone X. You can zoom in at any distance between the wide and telephoto lenses, and even extend the use of the iPhone's digital zoom to get an image 10 times closer to your wide-angle lens. - corner camera.

  • Front camera

Unique to the iPhone X, the front TrueDepth selfie camera simulates the shallow depth of field effect of the rear lens. It's amazing that he achieves this with just one lens. Impressive features are available, including portrait mode for taking selfies.

  • Facial recognition

In this model we see innovative thinking and a brand new feature for Apple - Face ID (Face Recognition) Face ID has been introduced, so you can now use it instead of Touch ID (fingerprint), the replacement comes as Apple removed for the first time in its smartphone model the symbolic Home button. Face ID is a dual camera system and you can use it for Apple Pay (debit / credit card payment) as well as to unlock your phone.

It is specially designed so that you can't unlock it by mistake - you have to actively watch the phone. It can recognize your face, even if you wear a big hat, and will refuse someone who wears makeup to look like your face.

According to Apple, only one in a million people can unlock your iPhone X with their face, compared to one in 50,000 who can try to unlock your phone with a fingerprint via Touch ID.

We are really intrigued to understand how Face ID works in practice. Touch ID is so easy to use, so will it really be a worthy replacement?

Once the home button is gone, you can now swipe from the bottom up to perform multiple tasks or activate Siri vocally or via the larger side button.

Apple iPhone X's Face ID was one of the most discussed features of the device when it was first released. Although initially controversial, many users find it reliable as it cannot be tampered with by photos. Therefore, it is much more secure than the Touch ID fingerprint.

  • Colors:

The model is available in two very elegant colors:

1. Space Gray (often called “black”)

2. Silver (often called “white”)

  • Battery

The iPhone X's battery is reportedly 2716 mAh, which makes it slightly larger than the iPhone 8 Plus. iPhone X allows the use of an 18W charger, with which the battery reaches 50% capacity within 30 minutes.

  • Wireless charging

Thanks to its beautiful glass back, this phone allows wireless charging with 5W and 7.5-watt chargers that support the QI standard for wireless charging. To use this type of charging, you must have a wireless charger that supports the QI standard.

fun fact iconA curious fact

After long forecasts and visions of experts in the industry. In 2017, at the premiere of the new iPhone 8 series were announced models - Eight, 8 plus and iPhone 10. Which prompted many critics to ask where between the lines lost iPhone 9 and whether Apple has not forgotten how to count to nine. Of course, behind this step lies a broad-spectrum marketing strategy, which to this day has not been disclosed by the company.
